The Mending Word: Part 8

Writings shared from the eighth session. Prompt: Core Values in The Face of Grief

…this memory teaches me that when all is said and done, happiness comes from the simple, quiet moments. All I need is a place to call home; people to call home.

People and relationships are the most important things to me, then and even more so now.

My peak memory is a quiet Friday night, safely surrounded by the people I love most in the world – sleeping, but there.

This memory taught me that to be content is to feel that nothing is missing in this moment. How can I ever feel that again, when it will never be true?
